Created for the National League Centennial in 1976, the pillbox style baseball cap represented 100 years of baseball (1876-1976). This style has a simple but elegant three-piece construction with a broad band of wool as the body, a circular top and flexible visor with a stitched "P" for Pittsburgh Pirates in the center. Has some nice wear, the inside band is soiled from sweat. Size tag has been cut out. "New Era" silk tag and a worn, slightly faded 46 on the inside of the visor, along with intertwined gold lining. Hat also has 4 Willie Stargell stars on the brim.
