After coming up briefly to the Yankees in 1965 and 1966 with people feeling he would be the second coming of Mickey Mantle. The expectations would put so much pressure on Murcer he would not be able to live up to the hype. In 1969, after filling his military obligations he would be called up to stay. During his career he would be a 5X All-Star. From 1977 to 1979 he would only play for the Cubs. Bat shows outstanding use with grain swelling on barrel and Murcer's number 7 on knob. On top of barrel is BM S2L. PSA has in their letter based on no palm bat they can not confirm if bat was used by Murcer. Model S2L, 34.75 inches and 31.4 ounces and is un-cracked. It is hard to believe with Murcer's number 7 on knob and BM on top of barrel that this bat was used by another player.
