Rice would debut with the Red Sox in August 1974 and would play his entire career with them, retiring in August 1989. Rice would take over left field following in the footsteps of his fellow Hall of Fame players, Ted Williams and Carl Yastrzemski. In the late 1970's, the Red Sox would have one of baseball's great outfield with Rice, Flynn and Evans. When his 16 year career ended with the Red Sox, he would have 382 home runs, 2,452 hits, 1.451 RBIs and 4.129 total bases which stand today as Red Sox records for a right handed hitter. He would be a 3X American League home run champion, 8X AL All-Star and American League MVP in 1978. Bat exhibits outstanding use and is un-cracked. There is some grain swelling from repeated ball contact. Knob has 14 in marker with 34" 31 oz. Model C243, 34 inches, 30.4 ounces. Rice has signed and dated the bat 1989. PSA GU 9.5 and JSA ALOA.
