The Patriots would be undefeated and heavily favored to win the 2008 Super Bowl. The Patriots entered the game a perfect 18-0. The Patriots would finish the regular season 16-0 and win the first 2 playoff games. The Giants finished the season 10-6 trying to be the first Wild Card Super Bowl champion. The Giants would be 12-point underdogs. The game was hard fought for 4 quarters with New England leading 7-3 going into the 4th quarter. The Giants would be down 14-10 with 2:39 left with the ball on their own 17 yard line. The game would be defined by David Tyree's "Helmet Catch" while leaping he would catch the ball with one hand pinning it against his helmet resulting in a 32 yard first down. Following another first down, Manning would hit Plaxico Burress with a 13 yard touchdown with 35 seconds left. This drive his thought of as the greatest drive in NFL history. The Giants would win 17-14 in one of the biggest up-sets in Super Bowl history. This would end the Patriots dream season finishing 18-1. These Gatorade bottles were made for the celebration in the locker room and were already to go until the Giants scored and they were quickly removed and then destroyed. This is the only one we have seen. Bottle has been in a garage so it has sucked in a little from the heat. Silver label has PERFECT SEASON 16-9, SUPER BOWL XLII CHAMP.
