1950 Outland Trophy Award Presented to Kentucky College Football HOFer Bob Gain. Awarded to the most prolific college football interior lineman as adjudged by the Football Writers Association of America, the Outland Trophy is named after legendary player and coach John H. Outland. Offered here is the original Outland Trophy plaque that was presented to Bob Gain who was a College Football Hall of Famer, 2nd Team All-American in 1949 and 1st team All American in 1950, 5X Pro Bowler, 7X Second Team All-Pro, and 3X NFL Champion with the Cleveland Browns. A terrific memento from Gain's notable tenure with the Kentucky Wildcats throughout his 1950 collegiate season. The plaque measures at 9.5x12.5", while the plaque has a bronze figure of a lineman wearing a leather helmet in a 2-point stance with his hand on the turf. The top reads, ''Dr. John H. Outland Award to the Outstanding College Guard or Tackle of the Year Selected by the Football Writers Association of America''.
