Rare Dale Earnhardt race worn drivers suit was worn during his February 24, 1991 victory in the Pontiac Excitement 400 at Richmond International Raceway. Earnhardt would win 7 Winston Cup championships tying Richard Petty. Petty was known as the King with Earnhardt being known at the Intimidator. He would chase anyone around the track and do anything to move you out of his way. If you looked in your rear view mirror and seen Good Wrench behind you it would send chills down your spine. Petty was considered the Greatest of all time and Earnhardt was considered the most influential driver in NASCAR history. During the final lap of the 2001 Daytona 500 he was trying to block for his son Dale Jr. as Dale was in the lead. Coming out of the back stretch the car he was trying to block got past him. He would then go into turn 4 and hit the wall almost head on. He would not survive the crash. NASCAR would lose its biggest star on that day. Suit has all his sponsors logos across the chest area with the main sponsor GOODWRENCH on chest, side of arms and sides of legs. Other sponsors Mac Tools and Chevrolet to name a few. Earnhardt has signed the suit and the letter detailing that the suit was worn during the Pontiac Excitement 400 race. It also says it includes a photo of him holding up the winners trophy. Amazing race suit and the only suit worn for a victory that we have seen come up for sale. Suit is pictured in a frame and will be removed before shipping. Earnhardt signed letter for suit and JSA ALOA. Images are a little blurry as suit is framed.
