What can we say about "The Babe." He was the greatest player to play the game and who really made it into what it is today. Not to mention what is known as the curse of the Red Sox when they sold Ruth to the Yankees which forever change baseball making the Yankees what they are today. Ruth would hit 60 home runs in 1927 a record that stood till 1961 when Roger Maris broke it. He would also hold the record of 714 home runs a record that would stand for almost 40 years when in 1973 Hank Aaron would break it. I have read books on baseball and all player that speak about Ruth feel he was bigger than life on the field and a great guy off the field. It appears that anyone who ever was lucky enough to receive a Ruth autograph saved it, This American League William Harridge ball has been signed by "The Babe." Ruth has signed the ball to Bobby Davis From Babe Ruth The ball would grade 7 with inscription and signature 8. JSA ALOA.
