Thurman Munson is a cult figure in the baseball collecting world. He was the Yankee Captain and heart of the team. Everyone talks about Reggie Jackson as "Mr. October" but Munson was a clutch hitter all season long not just when the game was out of reach for the visiting team. A single World Series does not make a legend. Munson would pass before his time while practicing landings with his plane near his home in Ohio. This unofficial ball has been signed on a side panel where Munson always signed team ball. This is also a circa 1973 signature. The ball is game used and would grade signature a 7. JSA asked to see the ball for a second time and it is inconclusive if a signature has been removed. JSA ALOA.
