Van Brocklin would retire following the 1958 season and 5 months later decided to come out of retirement and would be traded to the Philadelphia Eagles. While with the Eagles he was given full control of the offense and with his leadership the Eagle offense continued to improve. By the 1960 season, the Eagles became a force and would have the best record at 10-2. They would play the Green Bay Packers in Green Bay in the Championship game and would give Lombardi his first and only playoff loss. Van Brocklin and his favorite receiver Tommy McDonald would win 17-13 with a 4th quarter comeback. Van Brocklin would play 12 seasons and would play in 2 Championship games winning one. He is a member of the Football Hall of Fame. During his Hall of Fame career, he would play in 9 Pro Bowls, Most Valuable Player while with the Eagles and lead the league in passing in 1954. He passed for a amazing 23.611 yards with a passer rating of 75.1. The jacket is made of wool with Wilson tag in collar size 46 flag tag with Dry Clean only and All Wool below. Below this is a wool tag with N.V.B. 11. Eagles is sewn on the front which was sewn on prior to the jacket being assembled and 11 on the sleeve which was put on after jacket was assembled. An amazing jacket that shows wear and is in remarkable condition.
