Belle was one of the games most feared hitters to play the game. He would play from 1989 to 2000 before being forced to retire with degenerative hip osteoarthritis. At the time of his retirement, he was the highest paid player in baseball. In 12 season he had 381 home runs, 1.239 RBI's with a batting average of .295.
