Boston Red Sox Hall of Fame plaque with an image of Speaker. Below reads Tristram E. Speaker Boston 1907-1915 Hubbard, Texas native joined the Red Sox in 1907 batted .337, 3rd on club's all-time list, in 1065 games with the Red Sox. Hit over 300 seven straight seasons from 1909-1915. Red Sox first American League MVP in 1912, batting .383 with a career-high 222 hits. Lead the league that year with 53 doubles and 75 extra base hits. 267 stolen bases and 106 triples are second most for Red Sox. 206 outfield assists including a club - record 35 in 1909 and 1912. Member of Red Sox World Championship clubs in 1912 and 1915. The first centerfield of his era was the seventh player elected to the Hall of Fame in Cooperstown in 1937. This plaque was the one given to a family member. Plaque measures 11 x 16 inches.
